David D. Hadden
Chairman of the Board & CEO

As Founder and CEO of TheraSim, David Hadden leads the company in its mission to improve the lives of patients by improving the quality of clinical practice. Primarily self-educated, David has over 20 years of experience at the intersection of software and medicine.

David developed the first artificially intelligent HIV decision support system to assist physicians in developing the optimal HIV treatment plan for their patients and was co-inventor on two seminal patents for that technology. In addition, he has developed dozens of enterprise software applications and is an expert in artificial intelligence-assisted knowledge, process, and training management systems. In his role as president of New Course Analytics, David developed the concept of training analytics, which was awarded another patent for the first training analytics software system [7,181,413, Performance-based Training Assessment, Hadden, et al].

David has spoken at and conducted seminars and workshops in more than 40 countries and across the United States. Prior to founding TheraSim, he served as President of New Course Analytics, CEO of 5Gen, Inc., and VP of Products and Services for Therapy Edge, Inc.

 

Gordon Cervenka
President, COO & Board Director

As President and COO of TheraSim, Gordon Cervenka leads the company’s marketing and sales operations strategies and oversees product development and client services resources.

Gordon has over 20 years experience in high-growth companies and has enjoyed success in publicly traded companies and privately held venture backed companies. He achieves operational excellence at TheraSim by connecting the potential of our emerging technology to the details of tactical execution that bring its potential to life. With a leadership and management foundation based on incorporating disciplined business fundamentals to drive growth and profitability, Gordon is leading a team of driven professionals to exceed their own expectations and those of our customers.

Gordon has over 20 years experience in high-growth companies and has enjoyed success in venture funding, debt financing, S-1 SEC filing, and strategic acquisitions. Prior to joining TheraSim, he served as CFO and as VP of Services at ChannelAdvisor Corporation. Gordon has also held management and executive positions with HAHT Commerce, Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase, and Netscape Communications.

Gordon graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

 

Dr. Douglas D. Blevins
Medical Director

As TheraSim’s Medical Director, Doug Blevins provides expert guidance on medical compliance and development of TheraSim products and services. Doug has over 20 years experience as Chief of Infectious Diseases and full-time practitioner at Lewis-Gale Clinic, where he became Chairman of Medicine and President of the Board of Directors.

Doug has served as advisor to or chairman of multiple committees and regularly lectures on antibiotics, infectious disease and HIV/AIDS. Now residing in Durham, North Carolina, he is actively involved in clinical, educational and advisory efforts on behalf of patients, clinicians and industry.

His academic and professional interests include: development and testing of expert-based clinical case simulations for medical education, outcomes measurement and clinical decision support, Antibiotics, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B and C, Fever of Undetermined Etiology, Osteomyelitis, Travel Medicine, Infection Control and Epidemiology, Respiratory Tract Infection, Syndromes of Bacterial Cause, Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics, Viral Syndromes, Unexplained Leukocytosis, Hepatitis, Drug Safety, Dyslipidemia, Diabetes and Primary Care Issues.

Doug graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts and earned his MD from the University of Virginia Medical School.

 

Leah Wilking
Client Services Director

As the Client Services Director, Leah Wilking oversees the planning and execution of client projects ensuring project success. Leah works closely with clients to develop a deep understanding of their business needs and how best to leverage TheraSim technology to enhance training for students and professionals or to provide large partners with a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Leah brings over 8 years of experience in sales, marketing, public relations, and project management to her role at TheraSim. This experience has been marked by substantial project success including launching new brands, exceeding sales targets, and delivering client deliverables on time. Leah strives to be a trusted resource to her project teams both internally and externally. Relying on a proactive and detail oriented approach, Leah ensures clients have transparency into their projects and confidence that the results will exceed their expectations.

Leah graduated from Binghamton University with a Master of Business Administration and earned a Bachelor of Science from SUNY Geneseo.

 

Ari Cofini
Business Development Director

As the Director of Business Development for TheraSim, Ari leads all global sales. In
working closely with end clients and partners, he focuses on progressing technology
driven education and training through the use of simulation. Prior to TheraSim, he
was a Business Development Manager for two legal software companies: Catalyst
Repository Systems and Counselor Resource Group.

While in his MBA program at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ, Ari
developed a passion for emerging technologies and became drawn to the business
development aspect of software companies. Prior to his MBA, Ari graduated from
Appalachian State University in Boone, NC with a Communications degree.

Between graduating from two “mountain town” universities and growing up
on the beach, Ari’s affinity to the outdoors is easy to spot. He is originally from
Wilmington, NC and claims Wrightsville Beach as his local beach, with fond
memories of exploring the surrounding intracoastal waterway areas via epic boat
rides.

 
John Migliorisi
Product Development Director

As the Product Development Director, John Migliorisi leads the development team in pursuit of the world’s greatest virtual patient simulator. John works closely with clients to understand their needs and goals – straddling the fence between technical solutions and business drivers.

John brings over 10 years of experience in web application design and development and 7 years building healthcare related web based applications for the NIH. His creative aptitude and practical approach push TheraSim’s technology forward; bringing greater scalability, enhanced functionality, and improved efficiencies in set up and case authoring.

 
Keno Vigil
Creative Director

As Creative Director, Keno employs his broad expertise in business innovation and web technologies as he oversees the creative strategy and execution of TheraSim’s solutions. He is a driven leader with a proven track record of delivering strategic business solutions. He lives to create, loves big ideas (almost as much as coffee) and relentlessly pushes them to fruition.

Over the past 13 years, he has been fortunate to work for ground-floor start-ups to multinational corporations and gained the experience in executing technical solutions from concept to launch.

Before TheraSim, Keno honed his talents as the Innovation manager at PPD, one of the largest global clinical research organizations. There he pioneered many disruptive technologies, including, but not limited to, mobile development, 3-D training, and a thriving enterprise social network.

Keno graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor of Science with a focus in Internet Technologies and Business.
